The Peacock family consists of James and Claire and their four
children: sons John, James (Scott), Jeff and daughter Joyce.
Jim and Claire started their own business, "James Peacock
Professional Painting" in 1971, after working for Claire's
father Theodore Harmon for several years. Jim's natural, likable
way with people and his commitment to hard work allowed his
business to quickly become a success.
John was around
the painting with his dad from age 13 and worked summers all
through high school for the family business. In 1978 John graduated
from Barnstable High School and went on to a specialized trade
school in Rutland, Vermont for wallpapering. John installed
all the company's wall covering for approximately 10 years.
After that he
began taking over more of the day to day tasks of running the
entire business and took over the company fully in 1993 to the
present day.
Over the years
everyone in the Peacock family has participated. Scott was very
involved in the family business until his passion for building
grew and he ventured off to learn that trade.

Scott now owns & operates a very successful building and remodeling
business, Scott Peacock Building & Remodeling.
Joyce first began
as John's wallpapering assistant and later used her artistic flair
to do some very nice faux and decorative painting. Joyce then
worked part-time for Cape Cod Hospital as an Ultra-Sound Technician.
She now is home raising her four daughters.

Claire was involved
from the beginning, handling phone calls, bookkeeping, payroll,
and other "behind the scenes" tasks that make a business
successful. Although she and Jim are retired, they still assist
in many facets of the business including estimating and consulting.
Jeff also came
through the ranks growing up working summers until graduating
from the University of Massachusetts in 1996. Since then he has
been an integral part of the JRP Co. Inc. team in keeping with
the tradition of a real family business. He has been married since
1997 and just had his first child.
